Encouraging Words & Poems
You "WALK" with the Lord is not determined by the Success or Failure of those around you!
You CANNOT discover new oceans unless you have the COURAGE to lose SIGHT OF THE SHORE!
IF you always DO what you always DID, you will always GET what you have always GOT.
To Truly Know
a poem by Carol Whittle

IF you truly know compassion,
you will truly know, God's Understanding.
IF you truly know forgiveness,
you will truly know God's Plan.
IF you truly know longsuffering,
you will truly know God's Patience.
IF you truly know peace,
you will truly know God's Hand.
IF you truly know love,
you will truly know God's Heart.
IF you truly know victory,
You will truly know God.
HOME
American Military
a poem by Carol Whittle
This is for the ones who serve and have served our country
Those who march into danger,
When others would flee --
Those who travel the lands, skies and seas,
So we can be free.

Those who pray above all for peace,
As they fight the fight before them --
Those with courageous hearts,
With loving thoughts of those at home.

Those that leave the comfort of home,
So others can possess their own--
Those with arms outstretched,
To serve, help and protect.

Those who grow in stature,
By facing a more than difficult task --
Those whose lives are put on hold,
As they honorably respond to their call.

Those at home and across the seas,
Honoring family and country --
Those who stand "Christ-like,"
Willing to give self-sacrifice.

Those who live and work strong,
Believing in life, freedom and liberty --
Those who sometimes die Christ-like,
Not for self acclaim, but for others.

Those who adore "Old Glory,"
And all she stands for --
Those called American Military,
God Bless them all!
Some of the finest this land has to offer,
Whether patroling the streets or pounding the beat.
Courageous men and women, serving and protecting,
As our Peace Officers.
Proud of the work they do, as they clean out
our neighborhoods.
Hearts of Courage they truly possess,
for what's around the next corner
is anyones's guess.
In their minds they know, they may
have to kill or be killed,
At any given time.
But at this thought, their hearts ache and break,
For their compassion runs even greater yet.
Peace Officers of the land,
men and women of Law Enforcement,
Keepers of the Peace,
I encourage and uplift you,
through the word of God:
"BLESSED be the Peacemakers,
for they shall be called,
the Children of God."
